30-Year Service Recognition Awards for Karen Kelliher and Merle Eldridge.
35-Year Recognition Award for David Sliker.
And a 40-Year Service Recognition Award for Keith Snyder.
Mary Emmighausen received the Swain Herb Lehman Instructor of the Year Award.
Dianne Freiner received the Swain William McKenna Patroller of the Year Award for her service as Patrol Representative to Swain Management.
Rick Wilcox received the Swain Harry Stoneham Candidate of the Year Award.
GV Region RD Bob Andre' had a special gift for past RD Mike Lord....
....an NSP denim shirt to replace one Mike has worn far too long.
Bob also presented Mike with a monetary gift....
....which Mike then decided to donate to the Eastern Division Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Mary Emmighausen and Mike Lord were awarded Yellow Merit Stars for their outstanding service to the Region's OEC program.
Nick Schiavetti was awarded a Yellow Merit Star for his many years of service as Region Instructor Development Advisor.
Tim Cassidy was awarded a Yellow Merit Star for his years of service as Swain Patrol Director.
Earlier in the day, Ben Emerson, who was unable to attend the picnic, was awarded a National Distinguished Service Award as well as the Swain David Hanning Commendation Award for his many years of service in several capacities to the Swain Patrol and the Genesee Valley Region. Outgoing RD Mike Lord received a National Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding dedication and service to the NSP over many years.
Mike was then able to present two Division awards to fellow Swain Patrollers which had been originally announced at the Division Spring Officers' Meeting. Joe Menichino received the Outstanding Alpine Patroller Award and Nick Schiavetti received the T. Tyler Davis Outstanding Instructor Award.
Tim Cassidy was awarded a Swain certificate of appreciation for his service as patrol Director from 2005 to 2009.
Time also received for handy identification signs....
