Significant awards presented at the Bristol On-hill Refresher on September 27th, 2009:
Susan Schueckler was presented a Purple Merit Star for saving the life of a young girl when she skied off the trail and seriously hurt herself. The extrication was especially difficult due to the icy hillside location. |

Richard Walzer was presented a Blue Merit Star for assisting Susan in the saving of a life. |
Hugh MacMillan was presented a Blue Merit Star for assisting Susan in the saving of a life. |

|
Hugh MacMillan also received a National Distinguished Service Award for his long service to NSP. |
Past Division Director Jerry Sherman presented the DSA to Hugh. |
