The Region OEC refreshers are now behind us, and the results of the Region Election are in.

• Mike Lord was unopposed for the office of Region Director, and was re-elected.
• John Topping was elected to the office of Assistant Region Director, replacing Bob Smith and joining Marcia Mundrick, the other ARD. John will assume the office after Bob's term ends, on April 1st.

There was also a vote on a region by-law change. It was proposed that a new section be added to the By Laws as follows:
 
                        Article 5.7   Term Limits for Elected Officers
 
Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, no Member shall serve more than three terms as Region Director or Assistant Region Director.  An appointment to fill a vacancy shall not count as a term for the purpose of determining the number of terms served.

Your election committee, comprised of Henry Williams, John Bolonda, and Marcia Mundrick, has disbanded.

The election of members to the NSP National Board of Directors this year will be 100% electronic. That is, a member must have access to the Internet to vote. There will be no paper ballots. Also, once a person has voted, that vote cannot be changed. The electronic balloting information will be e-mailed to members who have a current e-mail address registered with the National office. If you do not have an e-mail addresss so registered, here is the URL to use to go directly to the voting web site:
